The factory 2.0 TFSI air-box works efficiently on a standard vehicle. As power is increased through tuning, however, it quickly becomes a major restriction, reducing the additional power offered. Ensuring the engine can get access to enough air is paramount when increasing power, an open cone air-intake system is the most effective way of achieving this, but not all products are made equal.

The OEM 2.0 TFSI airbox is efficient at stock power but becomes restrictive under tuning, limiting performance gains. The Revo Open Cone Intake eliminates this bottleneck, delivering high-flow, low-restriction airflow for sustained power increases.
Developed alongside leading air filter manufacturers, this system is engineered for maximum flow, minimal turbulence, and consistent boost delivery—resulting in increased power across the rev range and an aggressive intake note.

Engineering Overview

• Intake Pipe: Lightweight 90mm mandrel-bent single-piece design maintains diameter, reduces joins, and minimises turbulence
• MAF Housing: Precision-integrated OE MAF scaling ensures correct fuelling and prevents power loss
• Foam Filter: 857cm² three-layer oiled foam with mesh support; high flow, low restriction vs paper/cotton filters
• Filtration: Captures particles within foam layers; tested to 99.1% efficiency down to 5 microns with extended service intervals
• Heat Shield: Laser-cut aluminium shields against engine heat and channels cold air from factory ducting
• Silicone Hoses: Automotive-grade, stepped design for smooth airflow; compatible with K03/K04 turbo setups
