With a 55mm core which also has a huge surface area, flowed end tanks and 64mm pipe outlets and finished in Pro-Series Black.

A high-performance intercooler upgrade designed to significantly reduce charge air temperatures compared to the OEM unit—an essential improvement for remapped vehicles.

The kit replaces the restrictive factory twin intercooler and complex pipework with a high-flow, single-pass core that is wider, taller and deeper than standard. The increased frontal area and core volume deliver substantially improved thermal efficiency and airflow utilisation.

Despite the performance gains, the intercooler installs neatly behind the original bumper with no cutting or trimming required and can be returned to stock if desired. A full fitting kit with all required hardware is included.

Available in Pro-Series Black finish, with or without the AIRTEC logo.

DYNO TESTED

This intercooler was independently tested on a rolling road using a Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSI (200ps) with a Stage 1 remap. Back-to-back dyno runs were carried out to compare intake air temperatures and power output before and after the intercooler upgrade.

With the standard intercooler fitted, intake temperatures reached 46°C, producing 239.7bhp. After upgrading the intercooler, intake temperatures dropped significantly to 27°C, with power increasing to 253.4bhp. These results clearly demonstrate the benefits of improved charge-air cooling, particularly on tuned vehicles.
