The AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler upgrade for VAG TFSI platforms delivers improved performance by significantly reducing charge air temperatures compared to the OEM system—particularly beneficial for remapped vehicles.
Replacing the restrictive twin-intercooler setup and complex pipework, this system utilises a high-flow, single-pass core that is wider, taller, and deeper than standard. The increased frontal area and core volume maximise airflow efficiency, improving cooling performance and charge density.
Despite the larger core, the intercooler fits within the OEM location behind the bumper with no cutting or modification required and can be reverted to stock if needed. Supplied as a complete kit with all necessary fittings for straightforward installation.

Available in Pro-Series Black finish, with or without the AIRTEC logo.

DYNO TESTED
Tested on Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSI 200ps with a Stage 1 remap. Data collected was before and after intake temperatures, and power increases.
