Performance Crankshaft Damper Bolt Upgrade

Torque Specification

• Use a 13/16” 12-point drive
• Torque to 78 ft-lb + 1/4 turn
• Apply red Loctite® during installation

Installation Notes

• The final 1/4 turn requires significant torque — use a long breaker bar.
• Thoroughly clean and inspect crankshaft threads before installation.
• The bolt is reusable. If removal is required, heat the bolt interface (do not exceed 400°F) before loosening.

Fitment

• Compatible with late 06A 1.8T engine blocks only
• Not compatible with early 058 engine blocks (B5 A4 / B5 Passat applications)

058 blocks can be identified by an external water pump and internal drive shaft
